5. Closing
CR Mission 1 rewards participants who maintain both KAIA staking and USDT deposits, so that on-chain capital is actually put to use and contributes to the growth of the chain ecosystem. Its core change is converting the Proposal Reward, previously paid as 10% of block rewards, into the contribution-based Contribution Reward; only recognized contributions are paid, and the remaining budget is burned.
Epoch 1 was the first Epoch in which this structure operated as designed. Recognized contributions were paid a total of 36,421 KAIA according to the formula, and the undistributed budget of 2,463,579 KAIA has been fixed as the burn amount and is not added to the circulating supply. Rewards tied to participation, with the remaining budget never entering the market, is in line with the design intent of CR.
What matters now is activating participation. Epoch 1’s Recognized TVL was 728,426 USDT (Period average), still an early stage compared with the target TVL. The Foundation is reviewing the factors behind this result, and in particular is identifying where the user experience of the participation process needs improvement. From the next Epoch, we will focus on usability improvements so that participating in CR is more intuitive and smooth, and depending on participation trends we will also review adjustments to the initial parameters. Improvements will be announced in advance under the Operation Guide procedure before they take effect.
Epoch 2 has been in progress since block 225,158,400 (approx. KST 2026-08-22 09:28), immediately after the end of Epoch 1, and is scheduled to end at block 227,750,399 (approx. KST 2026-09-21 09:34). The applied parameters and Eligible Protocols are the same as in Epoch 1, and no additional action is required to continue participating. The next report will be posted after the Epoch 2 reward distribution transaction is confirmed on-chain.
The Foundation operates CR according to the metrics and procedures disclosed in the Operation Guide and discloses the operating results each Epoch.
